Literature Text

Simple house of cards
Flimsy,
Tipsy,
Precariously tilting toward
destruction.
A breath of air,
the brush of a feather,
will send it tumbling down.
Yet still you build.
Reaching higher,
Racing farther,
Stretching upward
into the sky,
presumably toward infinity.
Paper walls of your castle,
Fragile,
Breakable,
Constructed to conceal
Your secrets.
But the foundation is crumbling
And the walls are falling
in.
And soon your lovely
house of cards
will collapse,
leaving you nothing,
not even a joker.
Because I have not posted anything in quite a long time and I feel incredibly guilty about that.
I recently wrote this, so I figured, hey, I have a few spare moments, why not post it?

That's awesome! I love cards: magic, poker, building a card house. love it all. It would be neat to see your interpretation of how just 52 playing cards can 'make or break a person' in terms of money. How there are so many varieties of games that all use the same thing! :)
